2019 – 3rd GENERATION IN THE COMPANY AND TWC INVOLVEMENT
2019 – 3rd GENERATION IN THE COMPANY AND TWC INVOLVEMENT
With Laurenz Feierabend (17), son of Thomas Feierabend, the 3rd generation will join the company starting September 2019. Laurenz will complete a 3 ½ year apprenticeship as a car mechatronics technician and support the involvement in motorsport. In addition to the numerous vintage car events in which “the Feierabends” will participate again this year, Team Feierabend is also involved in historic racing, including the TWC (“Tourenwagen Classics”) series with up to 3 former DTM BMW cars.
The team is supported by former racing professional Kris Nissen, who can look back on many years of successful racing and is familiar with the cars from the early days of the DTM at the end of the 1980s.
End of the season – 2019
At the end of the past season 2019, we are proud to share a respectable 3rd overall place in the TWC championship standings with Kris Nissen. With his driving skills and technical experience, we were quickly able to catch up in the group and put the new knowledge into practice.
Inspired by this success, we will “attack” again in 2020. The vehicles will be prepared by our experienced staff in-house and very soon, the 2020 season will kick off with the first tests. The first race will take place at Hockenheim in April.
Kris Nissen will be driving the BMW M3/E30 Group A (DTM) again this year in the design of the former sponsor TicTac. Thomas Feierabend will be driving the former “Werkswagen” BMW M3/E30 Group A (DTM), which was driven by Eric van de Poele, among others, in 1987 when he won the German championships.
Laurenz Feierabend is scheduled to make his first race appearance in an original Group N BMW E36 with FINA advertising.
