Model History
The Triumph GT was built in various series from 1966 to 1973 and was equipped with a 2 liter 6 cylinder engine. The elegant and lightweight coupé was designed by Giovanni Michelotti. The MK III was a further development and model upgrade from the first two series and is therefore the “better choice”.
Vehicle History
From 1991 to 2017 – around 26 years – the car was in last ownership. Extensive repair and restoration work was carried out during this time. The car is left-hand drive, has a German vehicle registration document and was fitted with an overdrive and Revolution 6×14 aluminum rims with 185/60 14 tires. A stainless steel exhaust system ensures a good sound. The interior features leather seats and a leather steering wheel. A radio is fitted in a retrofitted console, along with Blaupunkt loudspeakers and an electr. antenna. The tasteful color combination in dark blue with a black interior gives the classic sports coupé a sophisticated look.
Since 2017, the car has been technically and visually revised and optimized at great expense.
Conlusion
The small, exclusive coupé impresses with its successful design and sporty chassis. The elegant color combination gives the “poor man’s Jaguar E-Type” a special grace. A great deal has been invested in the English sports car in recent years – the perfect vehicle for the start of the upcoming classic car rally season.
